Ada "Kepiting Bulldog" di Kota Gudeg

On my second night in Yogyakarta, I was invited by an old friend when I worked with UNICEF to joined with him and his local partners from an advertising agency called Bohlam [a smart and cute looking young boy name Pungkas], and Rifqi, from a marketing communication agency called Srengenge. 

Other than learning new things about media communication, they have introduced me to a newly resto called "Warung Kepiting Dogen", which owned by a balinese man name Yudi. I have no idea on what is the meaning of "Dogen". But this resto has their specialty on crab in different sauces. It also more unique because there are no window and no door at this resto, it's an open-air resto surrounding by paddy field where you still enjoy fresh air and serene surrounding. 

We ordered "kepiting saus bulldog" [crab in bulldog sauce] and "kepiting saus senyum manis" [crab in sweet smile sauce]. Both were amazed, specially if you like hot and spicy taste. The crab meat were easily removed from the cell and it tasted crunchy on your mouth ! I bet these crab will make you "going up and down". Here at this resto, you can choose a plate of hot rice or hot-fried bread called "mantau" to serve together with those crab. I just love the dark brown hot fried bread ! So yummy... ! And don't forget to order a fresh traditional drink called "beras kencur" with ice. It will complete your meal ! 

You can find this Warung Kepiting Dogen by going north to Ring Road Utara, Jl. Umbul Permai Mudal, Sariharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman. It is nearby the area called Jl. Palagan Tentara Pelajar, which previously only known because of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta, and now this area has turn into dinner's delight. 

So not only "Gudeg" and "Ayam Goreng Suharti", but now Yogya certainly has some interesting dining choice.
