Back in Yogyakarta again for a few days. First thing to do is calling my blogger friend, Hezra, and invited her for having dinner together :) So this time, I decided to try out an old restaurant built in 1940, Restauran Lie Djiong, which is located at Jl. Brigjen Katamso 21. My taxi driver said the location is on the area of southern Klenteng [a chinese temple] and before a stop light of Gondomanan.
It said that this resto was the favorite of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX [the King of Yogya]. His favourite were Burung Dara Goreng Tepung [Fried Peagon] and Angsio Ceker Ayam [Chicken Foot Angsio]. But when I was here tonight, both of those were out. I had free-range fried chicken, Kamar Bola [this is actually a vegetable capcay, and I do love this one, the best capcay which I ever tried !], and Fuyunghay Udang [shrimp fuyunghai]. Those are very delicious ! I really recommend for those who visit Jogjakarta, to try out this chinese resto. I also ordered a drink called Sarsaparilla with ice. This is actually an old style of drink, and now can only be found in few places. More it said, that this Sarsaparilla can now only be found in Yogyakarta. It's too bad that this kind of traditional drink could not compete on the market with the modern drink such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, etc. Check this article about Sarsaparilla here. Anyway, this is my first time trying this kind of drink, it fresh and a must-try !
My this time gateway to Yogyakarta. Another life lesson: there are always some new things to try in life, including food and drink. Life, food and drink... ! And it become more complete with the presence of good friends, Hezra and Abrar !

hikss...gara2 kemaren hujan seharian mengguyur kota yogya, walhasil aku terjebak di kampus FH UGM ampe malam...ga jadi ke bakmi kadin, langsung balik hotel...eeh, ternyata ketemuan teman dikantor dulu yang pas lagi nginep di hotel yang sama, akhirnya aku diajak dia jalan...kacian kali ngeliat aku kelaperan malam2...hehehe...trus kita makan di warung kepiting di daerah sariharjo sleman...yummi...i'll wrote about its resto latter...another recommende places in yogya hehehe
